A club is more than a place where music is played and people go to dance. Clubs are also meeting points for creative individuals to come together, exchange ideas and organise their own events. Club culture has played a role in group identity-building for decades, in particular creating visibility for people who are little or not at all represented in society. Four experts discuss what club culture is, how it has changed since the 1980s and which challenges it faces today.
