Marcel Bieri has been a cultural artist and networker in the canton of Lucerne for 22 years. In 2006, he founded B-Sides Festival together with friends, which he stuck by in a variety of roles until August 2021. Together with Jennifer Jans, he set up B-Sides' internal networking platform SAY HI! in 2015. He also initiated Other Music Luzern in 2018, the new networking and advice platform for Lucerne musicians. In the same year, he initiated a collaboration with the Tunisian Sailing Stones Festival, where he helped to organise two editions of the festival and various residences in Tunisia and Switzerland. In late 2021, he left Lucerne behind and now lives in Zurich, where one of his aims is to seek out new professional challenges. Alongside his work assisting with the operational management of music venue GALOTTI am Hardplatz, he also works for Zurich agency TOURBOmusic, where he looks for concerts for up-and-coming artists and is helping the agency to find a more stable footing and develop further after the pandemic.
