MUSIC JOURNALIST, DJ AND PRODUCER, BASEL

LUKIE WYNIGER

Shortly before the millennium, Lukie Wyniger became head of music at youth station Radio 105 and took over the rap show "105 Dope", where he increasingly included reggae, dancehall, RnB and similar styles. As a DJ and organiser, the native of Solothurn in the Basel region soon became a name in the hip hop and reggae scene until he was poached from the radio and transferred to Warner Music Switzerland in Zurich. He worked there as a promotion and product manager for five years with such acts as Sean Paul, Muse, Estelle and Udo Lindenberg. On returning to Basel, Wyniger took over the event and cultural programme at Volkshaus Basel for two years before returning to SRF in Zurich as musical editor. During ten years there, he presented the "Reggae Special" and "Black Music Special", became head of the music special and accumulated millions of hits with his YouTube formats "Reggae Special Sessions" and "Tete A Tete".
