Europe’s festival landscape is ample – a huge variety of “showcase festivals” with conference programmes also take place every year. To kick things off, there is an outline of what artists can do if they want to perform at such festivals, when the right time would be, and what else needs to be considered. On the m4music panel, various important festivals introduce themselves and answer questions such as: Which acts could and should actually be playing there? What kind of audience can be expected? Who would find it worthwhile to attend a conference even if they do not perform? What networking opportunities are there? The differences between the individual events are also discussed. The festival organisers are then available for individual discussions afterwards.
