Rich synthesisers, thick basses, marimbas and spontaneous African and Caribbean rhythms – all brought together by Massimo Di Lena and Lucio Aquilina with their six-piece live band to create a groovy jazz rave. For their artistic project Nu Genea, the two DJs have collected tonal echoes felt along the coasts of their home town of Naples over the last 100 years. Following the success of the album "The Tony Allen Experiments" (2015) and four years after the LP "Nuova Napoli" (2018), "Bar Mediterraneo" (2022) has been created as an acoustic place of encounter – a place uniting the voices of different people who are separated by language but united by the ocean.
