"Please don’t try to stab me while I’m eating": The band Do Nothing from Nottingham tells surreal stories. They may claim to be inspired by Tom Waits and Simon & Garfunkel, but they sound completely different; deliberately incomplete, at times like Maximo Park, at others Arctic Monkeys or even LCD Soundsystem. Their guitars leap with pinpoint precision from wild riffs to perfect harmonies, their drummer breaks through the stoic serenity. And every line by front man Chris Bailey is quotable razor-sharp brilliance: "Say something, goddammit. You’re on TV".
