The path to a sustainable ecosystem of contemporary music in Switzerland
How is contemporary music promoted in French-speaking Switzerland? Which resources are needed to create appropriate working conditions for those working in clubs and concert halls and at festivals? What does the situation look like for other stakeholders, such as labels and booking and management agencies? Fcma and PETZI have published a new study on the subject. The panel will discuss the recommendations in the study, including for the attention of public cultural promotion bodies. The aim is to redefine existing support systems, find new funding resources and in doing so closely monitor the entire ecosystem of the music industry. The study results will also be translated to apply to German-speaking Switzerland.
