Wu-Lu forges a refreshing link between seemingly incompatible music worlds like no one else. After years of experimenting with Lo-Fi, psychedelic guitars and bizarre hip hop, the multi-instrumentalist and producer from London has now developed a new sound forming part of the new generation of post punk, dub & alternative hip hop. Miles Romans-Hopcraft writes his music for those who have no voice. Having himself grown up in Brixton, he looks at changes in his home town in his songs, particularly at the experiences of young adults. His debut album, which Wu-Lu is working on with Morgan Simpson from Black Midi on drums and set for release by Wrap Records, is partially inspired by these stories.
