Playful guitar riffs and a striking voice are the hallmarks of Shelter Boy alias Simon Graupner. The 24-year-old is currently one of the most promising newcomers on the Dresden music scene. The co-frontman and guitarist of indie band Still Trees decided to focus his full attention on his solo project Shelter Boy in 2019 – shortly afterwards supporting Gus Dapperton and Omar Apollo on their tours. His first own headline tour followed in Germany in 2020, with the debut album "Failure Familiar" then released in autumn 2021. The musical influences featured on the new album range from Brit pop and feel-good indie to rock hymns and dream pop – creating a unique kaleidoscopic sound palette.
