The three female queer musicians from the punk band Grandmas House promote inclusion, equality and safe spaces in their songs. The still very male-dominated scene only made them more vocal in representing the female voice in the punk genre. With this, they join a growing movement of bands such as Slagheap and Goat Girl. The trio, founded in Bristol in 2018, are also known for their original combination of post-punk with surfy melodies to create their own unique compelling sound. Grandmas House also have the reputation of being an outstanding live band – they have already supported the likes of Stef Chura, Frankie Cosmos and Rita Lynch. Critics dub Grandmas House as "perhaps the most exciting band to come out of the Bristolian scene since IDLES." Their debut EP "Grandmas House" was released in 2021.
