As a session musician, Fabiana Palladino has already worked with the likes of Ghostpoet, Sampha, Jessie Ware and other musicians from the London indie, pop, electronic and R&B scene. However, it wasn't until she received an email from British pop producer Jai Paul that she was encouraged to dedicate more energy to her own song-writing. Jai told the London-based singer-songwriter that he liked her SoundCloud demos – and asked whether she would like to be one of the first artists to release them with the label Paul Institute. Her single "Mystery" was released in 2017, followed by "Shimmer" one year later and the single "Waiting" in 2020. She is currently working on her debut album. Fabiana Palladino's sound is inspired by Kate Bush and Prince, as well as synth-pop ballads from the 1980s, and features lots of sci-fi references. She was also inspired by her father, Pino Palladino, who played bass for The Who, D'Angelo and Nine Inch Nails.
