Chelan is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer – or in short, simply very talented. Inspired by contemporary jazz, R&B, hip hop, soul, funk and many other genres, the musician from Nyon creates music that he personally would also want to listen to on his playlist. His inspirations include artists such as Jacob Collier, Jordan Rakei, Halbot Brown, Loyle Carner and Jamie Cullum. In 2018, Chelan released his debut album "Uncentred", which was followed by the EP "World of Sounds" in 2019. The 24-year-old now has numerous collaborations with Swiss and international artists under his belt, including "Patterns" with Nnavy, "Haley" with Not Nemo and "Midsky" with Malter. He has also established his own mini-label, Staircase Records, to promote other local and international talent. At m4music, he will present songs from his new EP, set for release on 4 March.
