How to Be Anti-Racist in the Music Business
What does music have to do with cultural appropriation? What part do I play as a musician? This workshop intends to raise questions and use open discussions to show ways in which musicians and people in the music industry can actively design their work to be anti-racist, thus taking a stand for a more inclusive society. In addition to an overview of anti-racist vocabulary, the workshop will also offer historical input on the topic. Social workers and speakers Charlotte Acakpo and Melanie Zwahlen will also highlight real examples from the music industry in order to increase awareness among participants and make room for questions, sharing and reflection.
+++ This workshop will not be a safe space for persons impacted by racism. +++
