In an increasingly environmentally conscious world in which the devastating effects of global warming are becoming ever more apparent, the music industry needs to ask itself: How can we help to protect the environment? This workshop is focussed on touring. A flight for the band here, an audience travelling there, a venue that needs to be operated as the basis of the whole thing – not particularly climate-friendly. Is sustainable touring even possible? After an expert talk, challenges and solutions will be discussed at round tables on the topics of mobility, green riders and communications.
