The pandemic has been hard on all of us. But, for smaller, grassroots music venues, it further exacerbated existing challenges while at the same time demonstrating how important these institutions are both socially and economically. They were the first places that were forced to close and will be the last to experience any kind of normalcy. Time to discuss key questions: What’s next? What have we learned and how can we start over?
