Accessibility

Access to culture should not be a privilege. Our festival aims to be a place where everyone feels welcome and can move freely. However, we know that for many people, attending cultural events is difficult or even impossible. This is no different at our festival – but our goal is to change that.

Tickets can be purchased online via SeeTickets and are valid upon presenting the KulturLegi at the box office.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs

Guide and assistance dogs are allowed everywhere and can be leashed at the cloakroom in the foyer if needed during the concert visit.

Payment

The festival is mostly cashless. Card payment devices with touchscreens are not barrier-free. Payments can be made via card or Twint. The Moods and the m4music Bistro in LaSalle accept cash. Food stands accept both cards and cash.

Quiet Zone

A festival is loud and full of impressions, and many people may experience sensory overload. The Quiet Zone is available for anyone who needs a calm retreat to take a break and then enjoy the festival again.

The Quiet Zone is located on the first floor of the Schiffbau in the canteen. It is barrier-free and accessible via an elevator. The space features dimmed lighting, seating options, and fidgeting toys if needed.

Sensory and physical stimuli

  • Visuals: Most concerts are accompanied by moving lights. Strobe effects and smoke cannot be excluded.

For all concerts on the Open Air stage, we refrain from using strobe effects and quick transitions between complementary colors to create less stimulating performances.

  • Volume Control: We adhere to the regulations of the Federal Office of Public Health (BAG). Ear protection can be obtained free of charge at the ticket counter, the info point, the cloakroom, and all bars. A retreat option is available in the Quiet Zone (see Quiet Zone below).

  • Seating Options: Seating is available in the foyer of the Schiffbau, at the m4music Bistro in LaSalle, on the Schiffbauplatz, in the covered outdoor area of Exil, and in the Quiet Zone. There are also seats in the gallery of the Moods; however, these are not barrier-free accessible.
